DESCRIPTION:
WW - Tudor Oyster, circa 1955, 34mm x 40mm to lug tips, 19mm lug width, original stainless steel screw back Oyster case with smooth polished bezel, brown leather strap, original silvered Explorer style dial with applied gold 3, 6, 9 and arrow indices, 17J, s#87060, triple signed. A nice early Tudor Oyster for the person just getting into the hobby and looking for a nice started point or for the seasoned veteran who knows what they like.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, very light oxide to steelwork, light fine scratches to plates; excellent dial with light surface spotting radium burns; excellent gold hands with light luminous paint loss; polished case shows light wear, reference number has been worn off making the third digit unreadable assumed 78X1, light dings on the case back and backs of lugs; original signed crown shows very little wear, half turn left on threads; good plastic crystal; resealed for auction.
